“Gary was one of our Nurse Advisers and a highly experienced colorectal specialist nurse who gave care and support to cancer patients. Before Gary came to work with us he won a Beating Bowel Cancer nurse award, having been nominated by one of his patients. This shows how loved and respected he was by all who knew him, both personally and professionally. “Everyone at Beating Bowel Cancer is devastated by the loss of Gary and we will miss him every day. As a colleague he was respected as a deeply compassionate nurse who helped many patients and others deal with bowel cancer in a way that made a positive difference in their lives. “We will miss his enthusiasm for his work and the work of the charity.
